This next week I’ll be attending Blissdom, my first blogging conference. I’m getting excited, but also a little nervous. Making the decision to attend is one thing, buying a ticket and making plans is another. But actually going will be way beyond what I know my comfort zone to be.
I only know one other person who’s attending. I know of several ladies from Twitter and their blogs, but think they don’t know me. When I arrive in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel I will be walking into a sea of women I perceive to already know each other and I’m the “odd chick out.” I don’t even know my roommates! But I look forward to meeting all of them, getting to know some and making new friends. I especially look forward to introducing them to me and to Chick Clique. Whether they know it or not, together we are all part of a Chick Clique at Blissdom.
As a new blogger I am looking for education, tips, technical help, mentors and so much I don’t even know about yet! (I can’t even put the Blissdom button on my blog.) **Oh wait!! Amy of VineSleuth Uncorked and Mom’sToolbox just helped me to add it! Yay!!
So, I’m loaded with business cards, notepads and enthusiasm, ready to take in all I can from this experience. I can’t wait to dive right into the middle and soak up all there is to learn!
Hey, all of you pros out there, how do I make the most from my first blog conference? Any advice, tips, suggestions are welcome.
